Mexico Freemason Masonic SILVER Coin Medal Silver:

This coin/medal is lister in Frank W. Grove\'s \"Medals Of Mexico\" Vol III page 306-307.On one side are the busts of San Martin Bolivar and O\'Higgins. On the reverse are the busts of George Washington, Benito Juarez and Jose Marti.Masonic symbols are placed around the outer edges on both sides.
These coins were issued in both gold and silver. Both are listed as 40mm. The mintage of each type is not listed in Grove\'s book. The medals were not minted by the Mexico Mint, but by Central de Numismatica y Medalistica in Mexico City. Probably in the 1960\'s. Grove refers to these as being minted by \"Baron\", which I believe was the owner of the business. This company sometimes issued medals in different sizes and Grove didn\'t always list them all.
The medals were initiated by the Cuernavaca (Masonic) Lodge No. 23, F. & A. M.
The silver tested as .925 silver (which is common in Mexico) and the weight was 30.6 grams
This is a very nice piece that I have never seen before in my 50+ years of collecting masonic memorabilia.
