Large, mahogany, brass and glass mechanical animation magic lantern lever slide dated by the patent marking (see pic) at July 1890, in very good condition, with high quality manufacture.
This slide features a finely hand painted girl and a boy on a seesaw in the garden. Its size is approx 176 mm by 100 mm (7\" by 4\"). The figures and seesaw are hand-painted onto one circular glass pane while the setting is painted onto another. The seesaw\'s action is animated by the projectionist or assistant moving the lever up and down to move one glass pane against the other fixed pane.
