Lambert” as there is a record of her pay stubs under“Cash Account”, she fully kept her daily notes from January 1 to December 31,the front of the diary has the usual useful information regarding Postal Rates,Population, and Distances between American Cities, all entries in pencil, dailylisting of high and low temperatures, sometimes a comment on the weather,sometimes a political comment, lists of purchases, description of trip to SouthDakota, mention of special inauguration of Governor Clyde E. Anderson on Sept.27th as Minnesota’s 28th Governor, other historicalanniversaries like the “100 anniversary of ice cream”-June 15, and “first timeMicro Wave used by Telephone Co.”-August 20, “P” is a she as she talks ofhousehold cleaning and ironing, and some of her purchases are “perfume”, oneday she is “Lost without radio”-May 20, and on May 22nd there is anote of “radio repair 6.45”, interesting for the prices of things in 1951, evenseveral entries for the October World Series Baseball game between the Giantsand the Brooklyn Dodgers, like a year frozen in time.
