MAGNIFICENT! SHOW PIECE of GEM QUALITY CALCITE (DT) CRYSTAL in Classic Association with Barite and Sphalerite. All factors of this Very High Quality Specimen are absolutely PERFECT as Nature intended. Yes this is a 100% specimen that is an important example of Geologic History. The main RARITY of this Gem Calcite Crystal is the perfect condition and association of white Barite and black Sphalerite that are CLASSIC. Another RARITY factor is the DOUBLE-TERMINATION (DT) of the CALCITE which is the Rare Scalenohedral Habit. A third RARITY is where it came from. Was mined about a mile below the surface of the Famous (1980\'s)d Elmwood Mine of TENNESSEE. This mine became famous when Gem Quality Calcite and Gem Quality Fluorite were discovered about the five thousand foot level depth in the early 1980\'s. Elmwood was basically a zinc mine that opened in the 1960\'s but was closed and flooded in the late 1990\'s. A consortium reopened the Elmwood in 2010 to extract more profit from zinc but after 13 years closed production permanently in 2023. This amazing specimen has zero distractions damage and is the epitome of Classic finds from this location. The surfaces, lines, edges, terminations, associations and Classic Colorations are ALL PERFECT! Sets very calm for display and multiple angles to show. Measures about 4 in x 2.75 in x 3.5 inches at max margins. Double-Terminated Calcite Crystal about 85 mm x 40 mm x 25 millimeters.
