Fluted Floral Pedestal Cake Stand

Offering an absolutely gorgeous Fluted Pedestal Cake Stand by MacKenzie-Childs in the Honeymoon Lemon Curd Yellow pattern.

This lovely hand-painted pattern has yellow and white checks with scattered floral sprays finished on a fluted rim with gold trim. Flower sprays and stripes continue on the underside and base with gold bands.

With their signature red clay, each piece is molded by hand, machine-pressed, or slip cast, and fired up to three times, hand-glazed, and hand-decorated.

Because of this, no two items are exactly alike! Bottom is stamped with the studio mark as well as the artisan\'s stamp as shown. Measures 6 ½” high x 12” in diameter (6 ⅞” in diameter at the base).

This lovely item is in very good vintage condition. It is free of chips, cracks or repairs; the gold shows minimum wear with some very mild scratching commensurate with age in one area as shown in photo. The item appears to have been on display only. Please note authentic vintage items are getting very hard to find. Especially those items without visible damage.In stating that; there is also only one minute visible imperfection in this piece as seen in the photo, it appears to be under the glaze. The characteristics of majolica pottery generally come from the firing process which gives them all a personality unique to MacKenzie-Childs pottery.
