A great German dramatic writer and philosopher, Friedrich Schiller inspired other artists–everyone from Beethoven to the designers at Montblanc, who created this remarkable, limited edition pen set. The warm-toned cap has been crafted from granulated amber, while the body is made from precious resin trimmed with 18k gold plate.
The Writers Edition Schiller is in amber, a material that in Schiller’s time was the symbol of the changes taking place in society.The complexity of the workmanship combined with the simple elegance of the gold-plated finishes evokes the style of the heyday of Weimar classicism.
Schiller’s signature is engraved on the cap. The refined engraving of the 18-karat gold nib represents a small crossbow, in homage to “William Tell”, one of the most famous works of the author.
