This has a message on the rear and looks like it was presented to a dear friend or family member, because a lot of work went into this. I believe that the Craftsman started with a base linen, then added the very detailed and ornate Perimeter lace. Then a combination of embroidery and cut work, to place the silhouette a young woman in the center. I'm very impressed with the geometric pattern used as a backdrop, which obviously serves to holds all the proportions in place, but it also creates an effect reminiscent of stained glass, particularly with the suspended flowers. This must have taken a lot of time and planning.
I don't know if it was intentional or not, but there is a spot on the linen on the woman's cheek. Perhaps This was meant to be a beauty mark? I've included pictures, and I will let you decide MAZING!
