MASSIVE! Late 19th c. Cast Metal Statue of a Lumberjack
By French artist A. Cadet

This strapping man belongs on a pedestal! Cast from black-painted spelter, this likely late 19th or early 20th Century metal sculpture is a study in human form and beauty! The Lumberjack (or Bucheron) stands tall and powerful on his metal meadow and wooden base!

This piece is signed on the back "A Cadet" and has a brass plaque on the wooden base that says "Bucheron".

Condition:

This statue is in VERY GOOD condition! There is some light to moderate surface wear to the black paint that covers the spelter body. The body itself shows no dents or repairs. The base has usual surface wear for a piece of this age.

Height: 25.5 in (0.65m)
