Luna Moth, Actias luna, reared from ova, are dead, dried insect specimens with wings folded over the body to protect the upper surface from scratches and handling. Each one is enclosed in a paper triangle or glassine envelope for shipping purposes and will need to be re-hydrated and relaxed for proper mounting with the wings opened. These are A1 specimens, as good as they get, as they have not been flying through the forest at night looking for a mate. Being reared specimens, they can sometimes be slightly smaller than wild Luna moths, but the wild ones will never be this nice of quality unless you happen to find one climbing out of its cocoon. The specimens shown in the photo for reference only and are samples of the quality you will be getting, not necessarily the actual bug. I only have 19 available and you can purchase one, a few, or all of them at this price. Shipping charge is a flat $6, no matter how many you buy.
