This is what I believe to be a mortgage indenture between a father, Hugh Lunt, and his sons, John and Thomas Lunt. \"in the year of our Lord God, One Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty Eight\". Very hard to read this old copperplate writing on vellum but it is in good condition has been under glass for years and years. It speaks of the terms of the indenture and on the back it seems someone else has written that the father, Hugh Lunt was buried in (looks like) Mowbury (Which I believe to be in Leicestershire?)churchyard and also names a Joane Lunt, possibly his wife? and then another date of January 5th in the year of our Lord One thousand six hundred and fifty three..... our Sovereign Lord, Charles, the (indecipherable but would have been Charles II in 1653) King of England.
Very interesting, fascinating historical reference, especially if this is of any relation or interest to your Lunt Family genealogy. This has been professionally framed between 2 pieces of archival glass in order that both sides may be read. The frame is 1 1/8\" wide and is a very nice, heavy frame for the size.
