This is for a rare ceramic piece by artist Larry Lushbaugh (1910-1989) made in Carmel, California. The martini pitcher is done in a faux wood look with a green and brown glaze. With the little info I could find online,he was a prominent artist, designer and potter in California. One record details an adobe home he designed and built in 1940, which today houses the Sherman Library and Gardens in Corona Del Mar. In 1952, four other prominent abstract artists along with Mr. Lushbaugh painted 5 abstract murals on the side of a building in downtown Carmel. It made news due to the little understanding of modern art at the time and sadly, it was painted over 18 months later.

Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs.Please view all pictures.
