They are made of two coils of spirally twisted bronze wire, with two decorative circles on the jointFibula is a type of brooch or pin used in ancient times for fastening garments, usually on the shoulder or on the chest. Besides practical, they had a decorative purpose as well, and therefore were made in numerous different forms.I suppose these fibuls were used as a ceremonial, ritual items, due to their size....
As you can see, this is a ruptured fibula in fact these are 2 parts of a ruptured fibula. Analyze the situation according to the pictures. Also, the fibula is protected with wax to prevent further the condition as in the pictures.
