Hi all!

This is a Large Woolly Rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis) Upper Molar from the Pleistocene of Siberia!This molar was unerupted, meaning it had formed in the skull but never descended before the animal died! The dimensions measure 2.7135 x 2.2 x 2.12 Inches (6.89 x 5.59 x 5.38 cm)!

The Woolly Rhinoceros is a species of rhinoceros that lived throughout Europe and North Asia from 3.6 million to 10,000 years ago. It was covered in a thick layer of course hair that helped protect it from the freezing temperatures of the Ice Age much like the Woolly Mammoth. Adults ranged in size from 10-12.5 feet (3-3.8 meters) in length, about 6.6 feet (2 meters) tall at the shoulder, and 4-6 thousand pounds (1800-2700 kilograms). Much like modern rhinoceroses, the woolly rhino fed on tough vegetation using its large molars. A great opportunity to own a piece of one of the most iconic Ice Age mammals!
