Fantastic Hanova of Pasadena baking casserole or dutch oven in dark avocado green and black enamel on a steel body with mustard yellow green interior. Just like an avocado! So 1960s!
This piece measures 11 inches wide, is 4 inches tall without lid and approximately 5 1/2 inches tall with the lid on to top of finial.
Condition is excellent. Please see my pictures. I don’t think this piece was used much, if at all. Even the bottom cooking surface looks great.
Hanova of Pasadena Hanova began in 1962 and was a collaboration between Erwin Prust and Bob Hill in Hollywood, California. Prust and Hill experimented using a small furnace to improve the technique of enamel coating on steel rather than the typical base metal of copper. Prust and Hill later moved the production to Pasadena. They closed in 1975. This piece is an early 1960s production.
