Large Sterling Silver and Cut GlassInkwell with Folding Pocket WatchThis rare and beautiful antique Georgian cut glass and silver inkwell with a hinged and removable pocket-watch was produced by William Henry Williams, London, c1822.It measures 4\" square by 3-5/8\" high and weighs in at a hefty 2 pounds 11 oz. (1.22kg).The body is polished on four sides with beveled edges all around.The bottom is deeply cut in a beautiful criss-cross cane pattern.
The removable pocket watch is marked for.935 sterling silver.The watch was running for a while but has since stopped and cannot be guaranteed going forward as it presumably needs servicing.The inkwell\'s neck and removable bezel are hallmarked as shown.The inkwell is in exceptionally fine antique condition with no damage found; please view all photos and message me with any questions.
