This Lladro figurine was inspired by the most famous work of the Viennese painter Gustav Klimt (1862-1918). The figurine was issued in 2012 to mark the 150th anniversary of his birth. Klimt\'s painting, influenced by symbolism and art nouveau, stands out for its ornamental exuberance, so the challenge for Lladró\'s artists was to remain faithful to the spirit of the original by means of a decoration in which the golden luster, the application of enamels and the different shades of gloss and matte play a fundamental role.Approximately 13 inches high by 6.7 inches wide. Fully marked on the bottom with the maker’s name LLADRO, the country of origin SPAIN, and Lladro tulip trademark. Also marked with a special backstamp “GUSTAV KLIMT – 150th ANNIVERSARY EDITION”. Sculpted by Antonio Ramos. MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price was $3940. At the time of this listing, there were several others listed on with prices ranging from $3299 to $4402.
