This listing is for an antique late 1890\'s art glass decanter with (blown?) stopper most likely made by Legras & Co of France. In researching this piece, the Legras catalog page shows decanters like this in the upper right section of the page (circled in red) and that is what I am basing the identification on.
The decanter, with stopper in place, measures 11 5/8 inches tall. The main body of the decanter is 4 1/4 inches at its widest central point of the lobed sides and is only 2 1/2 inches wide looking at it from front to rear. The base is 2 3/4 inches. The decanter was made in a 2-piece mold. The stopper \"looks\" blown but I think it is solid glass. The glass varies in color from a creamy base and lower body to pink upper body and lip, which has been described as \"peachblow glass\" by some manufacturers. The stopper is white milk glass.
There is no damage at all to either the decanter or stopper, which is amazing. The applied handle is in great shape as seen in the pictures. The stopper has no damage and was ground on the end as shown. The bottom of the decanter has a ground and polished pontil as shown. This piece came from the estate of an elderly antique dealer and I find I can\'t keep everything:)
