LARGE Aspit Bros of California Cowboy Sitting On Fence Chalkware Sculpture 18”H:

Featuring a rare Vintage Aspit Brothers of California “Cowboy Sitting on Fence” chalkware sculpture/statue. Depicts a cowboy sitting on a fence with a lasso in hand and a saddle at his feet wearing cowboy boots and hat with jeans covered with chaps in traditional cowboy style. Multiple shades of brown with blue contrast for the jeans. Hand sculpted and painted in the USA.

NOTE: In pre owned condition with wear present; paint loss on the edges of the fence and posts, edges of the logs at the base; minor paint loss on brim of hat and thr cowboys nose. The horseshoe by the saddle also chipped off and could either be painted over or covered. Tow spots of paint loss present on the right side of the base trim. The piece still shows very well overall considering the vintage.

This is a beautiful piece with amazing paint detail and sculpting and is a rare stray from the typical Aspit Bros piece that typically are made to suit lamps. This is large and heavy and suitable for a variety of rustic settings. The shading, sculpting and paint work on this and nothing short of masterful.
