Beautiful Vintage Gahana West Africa mask handcrafted with lots of brass, colorful seed beads, and shells. Base of mask is wood with overlay of brass, beads, shells and applied hard material of some kind thatcreates the black trim. There is a hairline crack on top of mask in front in between the brass inlay. Photo provided. This crack is in the overlay black material and does not affect integrity of mask. There is also a crack on back. Photo provided. Structure of mask is very sound. I purchased this mask in Rhodesia in mid 1970s.
