This unique and rare Krajina Serb RSK Army Coat Of Arms Banner TableDecor from the 90s is a must have for any history and militaria collector. Thebanner is from the former Yugoslavia, specifically from the territory ofCroatia during the Yugoslav Civil War. The coat of arms represents theterritory of Serbian Krajina, which was a self proclaimed Serbian entity duringthe war. The Republic of Serbian Krajina was created in 1990 within the bordersof present day Croatia and supported by the Socialist Federal Republic ofYugoslavia during the Croatian War of Independence. The unrecognized stateceased to exist in 1995 after Croatian forces overran the majority of itsterritory and declared itself the Republic of Croatia. Aside from the Yugoslavian National Army (JNA), there were two primarySerbian Krajina forces opposing the Croatian offer for independence: the SerbianArmy of the Republic of Serbian Krajina - or Krajina Serb Army - and theKrajina Police, the latter of which included Special Police units. AlthoughSerbian Krajina units wore distinctive insignia, they were outfitted byYugoslavia and used the same equipment as the JNA and Yugoslavian Police. Thisextended to the use of camouflage uniforms, nearly all of which wereYugoslavian in origin (although there were some exceptions).
