Komoran KO017 High Quality Liner Lock Folder Tanto D2 Steel Blade The Komoran KO017 Folding Tactical Knife comes with a 35" Tanto point blade made from D2. The D2 tool steel is satin finished. D2 is air-hardened tool steel is sometimes called a "semi-stainless" steel because it contains 12% chromium. It offers decent corrosion resistance with exceptional edge retention that makes it harder to sharpen than most but retains it's edge for longer than most. The Black Canvas Micatra handle is an extremely durable makeup of layers of canvas soaked in resin, then highly compressed and baked. It is impervious to moisture or liquid and physically stable under climate change. The blade features dual thumb studs and an extended tang for lighting fast "flipper" deployment. The ball bearing pivot mechanism makes the action smooth and resistance free. It acts like an assistedopening knife without the spring! The high quality of this knife is evident by the stainless steel pocket clip. This pocket clip is machinedfrom solid billet steel rather than just a pressed piece of sheet steel.
