Here offered is a killer iridescent blue specimen of covellite crystals with minor other copper sulfides from the famous Butte District. This came from an old German collection and even though it doesn\'t come with a old label, it likely was collected years ago underground by a miner since such nice specimens are never found on the few modern day dumps that remain. The specimen consists of the top half with massive and crystals of very brilliant blue covellite on classic monzonite host rock. There is also a sprinkling of pyrite throughout and a few other copper sulfides. Awesome Butte piece from my personal collection!
