Here offered is a superb and the only specimen of its kind I have ever seen from the Wilhemine Mine in Sommerkahl, Aschaffenburg District. One a side note, Aschaffenburg is where my family is from in Germany. The specimen features a gorgeous turquoise-blue coating of a mix of chrysocolla and chalcanthite as far as I can tell. There might be some other copper minerals mixed in as well. The matrix is a manganese-rich oxidized gneiss, the host rock for this ore deposit. The specimen comes with an older label from an unidentified collection and it states this specimen was collected in October of 1992, before the mine became a visiter mine. Now, collecting is off-limits! 6.7x4.5x3.3 cm
