Kershaw Speed Bump NIB 1595G10. In my opinion, one of the coolest blade designs available. This is the China made version. Blade steel is 8Cr13MoV. Still a very nice knife with good steel at an affordable price.
The knife and box you see is the knife and box you will receive. Purchase your knives while they are still available, prices will continue to rise as supply gets scarce. Shipping usually the same day or next day, well packed in crush resistant box.
I believe this model is discontinued for some time now. I purchased these knives sold by and shipped by Amazon and are Authentic Kershaw knives. Thank you.
According to custom knifemaker Ken Onion, the Speed Bump—which also features the SpeedSafe assisted-opening mechanism—is designed for multi-tasking, minimal mass and maximum performance. \"I wanted to make the Bump as multi-tasked as possible,\" says Onion. \"The blade design is unique, but at the same time, it\'s very practical and fluent at a large number of jobs.\"
In a tougher cutting situation—for example, cutting a half inch branch—the bumped blade shape provides maximum leverage and cutting ease. For piercing, the blade\'s point is precisely centered so that the energy is distributed evenly down the handle to offer greater power with less effort.
The handle fits the hand precisely and is constructed of G10 for strength. The Speed Bump\'s handle has a textured surface and provides comfortable and secure grip.
Thanks to Kershaw\'s SpeedSafe assisted opening system, the Speed Bump offers maximum flexibility in opening technology as well. The proprietary SpeedSafe technology enables the user to open the knife with one hand—left or right handed.
