It must have worked, because look at all of the old cards still around today. This is from a "BETWEEN THE ACTS CIGARETTES * THOS. H. HALL Manufacturer NEW YORK" and found originally in a package of their cigarettes. To sell more of that brand, famous people were pictured and many were saved. This is one of them! ORIGINAL VICTORIAN ACTRESS " KATE FORSYTH" not the current living actress Kate! O.K.?? Trying to find any important information on this old card was nearly blocked by the current actress by the same name. But this lady was a big deal in the Victorian era, and here's an old tobacco card to prove it! The front is in great condition as you can see, but the back is rather faint. So please use the enlargement feature to see it well. Size approx. 1 5/8" x 3", **** ******* GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC & OLD! ******
