A hard to find clear KA:TON:KA indian medicine bottle from one of the first traveling indian medicine shows that toured the United States in the 1880s....KA:TON:KA / KA-TON-KA emb on side panels....Hand blown in mold......hand tooled tapered lip....rect with 4 sunken panels.....clear..8 1/2\"tall.....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. Some light inside haze, but not bad....This bottle has an interesting history. It was put out by the Oregon Indian Medicine Co. of Corry, Pa. Colonel Thomas Edwards was the proprietor. He had been a spy for the Union Army during the Civil War. Edwards had traveled to Oregon and brought back a group of Warme Springs indians who traveled the country selling MODOC OIL, KA:TON:KA and other medicines that Edwards made.....THIS IS A FIXED PRICE BOTTLE FOR SALE IN MY STORE.......
