June 1908 Republican National Convention Guest Medal:

I have for sale a guest medal/badge for the 1908 Republican National Convention that was held in Chicago, Illinois. William H. Taft was nominated for president at the convention and won the election and became our 27th president. The medal has two parts held together by two short chains. The top pin back piece shows two eagles with flags behind, along with the capitol dome. The bottom piece is in a shield shape with a ribbon at the top with the word GUEST on it. In the center of the shield, it reads, NATIONAL - REPUBLICAN CONVENTION - CHICAGO - JUNE - 1908. The medal is 4 1/4 inches long and the top piece is 2 3/4 inches wide. It originally had a ribbon attached when new, see reverse. It looks to be made of nickel-plated metal and it\'s in circulated condition, see photos.
