Here is one Marcelo Contento\'s Lighting Bolt crafted by Johnson Precision Magic. This is a collector item - no longer made. The effect is that a brass bolt is threaded through a brass nut - each has a hole drilled through them, which allows for a cord to be threaded through both. A cloth is used to cover the bolt and nut, as a spectator holds on to the ends. Yet the magician reaches under the cloth and removes the bolt leaving the nut threaded onto the cord. This is a very fine piece of magic that will fool the audience.
