Amiens Cathedral France Antique Gothic Personal Jessie D Younger
  • Jessie D Younger Christmas card.
  • Amiens is a classic example of the High Gothic style of Gothic architecture. Amiens cathedral is the largest in France, 200,000 cubic meters, large enough to contain two cathedrals the size of Notre Dame of Paris.
  • Family history. From my Grandmother's side. Her maiden name was "Young" her dad my great grandfather changed their Sir name from " Younger" to Young, due to the Younger gang back in the day.
  • Genealogy shows that indeed Jessie James and the Younger's are in my lineage, Just as my Grandmother always said. She was born in 1893. My Grandmother (Iva Jane Young) also lived in Missouri. She told stories that the James gang did give money to a window to pay for her mortgage. Even though history shows that the James gang was not a robin hood. Jesse James died 1882.
  • This greeting card is from a Jessie D. Younger (I could not find the correct Jessie) sent to my Grandmother, before I was born (1951), which she kept in her picture box. This is a very old Card wishing a merry Christmas to the family.
  • A great picture of the Cathedral and the people that are in this lithograph are from the early time period. I could not date this card either but I find it interesting. This has been kept in my photo album for the last 50 years that I inherited the photos. I am selling it because I will not be able to pass it on and no-one cares to receive it. You can see from the photos that it has a lot of yellowing and has seen better days.
  • The scene on this lithograph is a gathering of people doing various task. You can tell the scene may be from 1700 - 1800.
  • I could not find the original artwork of this particular scene. I am still looking.
  • Amiens Cathedral has a very Gothic Look. Maybe a 13th century scene.
  • Items that are over 100.00 dollars will have additional fees for insurance and Signature required.
