Two original 35 mm Black & White (monochrome) Negativesof a jalapeño pod displaying corking. Whenthe pods mature quickly, they will develop cracks, which the plant seals off inthis manner, creating and interesting cracked pattern. It is interesting to note that corked peppersare generally more mature, and thus likely to be hotter and sweeter. I do not recall if this was a particularlyhot jalapeño given the image was taken in about 1990. The film was Agfa APX 100. I do not have a record of the developingagent used. Most of the time in the1980s 1990s, I was using Microdol X, Rodinal, Kodak HC 110, or of course, KodakD-76.
