The sensational promotion was successful in Japan as well, and in 1962 it became the second largest Western movie distribution and became a big hit.
In 1976, the revival of the sequel "The World Cruel Story" (63) was released together with the "Comprehensive Edition".

[INTRODUCTION]
A sequel to "The Cruel World Story" (62), which depicts the strange quirks and customs of the world and caused a worldwide boom.
Following the big hit of the previous work, it was produced in a hurry mainly using the film that was unused in the previous work.
At that time, Jacopetti himself was hospitalized due to a traffic accident, and although there is a name in the credit, there is almost no touch on this work,
It is said that the actual director of this work was partner Franco Prosperi.
The specialty, "Yarase," escalated further, and in the famous Saigon monk self-immolation scene, there was even suspicion and controversy as to "Isn't this a reproduction film?"

DISC3:
"Farewell Africa <HD New Master Edition>" Original title: AFRICA ADDIO

The biggest problematic work in the series that has evolved into a trial!

[INTRODUCTION]
A blockbuster completed by G. Jacopetti, the founder of the Mondo movie that prevailed in the "A Dog's Life" series (62-63), after spending about three years.
This work was supposed to be Jacopetti's greatest self-confidence work, which clearly captured the reality and confusion of African countries where the independence movement intensified in the 1960s.
However, compared to the previous two works, there are many heavier and miserable images, and in some scenes, the suspicion of "doing it" broke out again.
After being hit by the media, the movie suffered a catastrophic defeat.
Furthermore, in the final stage of the Congo Crisis scene, a camera accompanies a mopping operation in the village, which is the base of the rebel army.
Not only did he film the whole story of the looting and slaughter by the mercenaries, but he even recorded the real execution scene on film.
This became a big problem, and Jacopetti was accused of inducing murder.
An investigation by the Italian Justice Ministry eventually acquitted him, but the truth is still unknown.
Since then, Jacopetti has completely stopped making documentary films.
