Diameter: 90mm (approx.3.5\") Weight: approx. 212g / 6.82toz Edge/Relief: 8mm A medal in Zamak (zinc / aluminum with bronze plating I believe), by R. Duboc, Robert Laffont ed, in good condition, highly collectable medal !

Jacques-Yves Cousteau (11 June 1910 – 25 June 1997) was a French naval officer, explorer, ecologist, filmmaker, photographer and researcher who studied the sea and all forms of life in water. He co-developed the aqua-lung, pioneered marine conservation and was a member of the Académie française.

NOTE: This is the Same Commemorative Medal you see listed for $30-80 on . I was able to purchase a small box of these original medals in a local estate sale of an elderly collector of art. I\'m only selling the ones in good condition.
