Self-Caricature signed: \"Jack Albertson\", 5x3 card. At upper right margin, Albertson has drawn his profile. Stage, screen and television actor Jack Albertson (1907-1981), who began his career in vaudeville and burlesque, is one of only three actors to have won a Tony Award, an Academy Award and an Emmy Award. The Tony came first, for The Subject Was Roses (1964), a role he reprised in the 1968 film version, for which he won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar. He appeared as Grandpa Joe in the 1971 hit film Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Albertson earned two Emmys: the first for his role as Ed Brown on the popular sitcom, Chico and the Man (1974-1978); the other for a guest appearance on the variety show, Cher (1975). Albertson was a prolific actor, appearing in a long list of feature films, made-for-TV movies and as both a regular and a guest star on TV shows from 1954-1980. Slightly creased.
