There once was an adventurous Alaskan lady who was a real globetrotter & although her real soft spot was Norway (if you like all things Norwegian, see our Norway listings) she made a point to reach many varied points on the globe. At all of these places, she did what she did best -- shop.

Here we have one of her many collectibles from her adventures, this time in Ireland. This wee creation is named \"Quiet Man Cottage\" (catalogue no. CT32) & is one of the classic models from the Irish Heritage Collection. In particular, this miniature is a nod to the film by the same name as well as a replica of a real place -- in the quaint village of Cong in County Mayo. The original Quiet Man cottage crumbled nearly into oblivion, but has re-created in its original location after it was registered as a protected historical site. This is a highly desirable miniature for those who love the cozy village decorative or anyone who has a fondness for Irish culture!
