Impressive French Antique Gothic Revival Prie Dieu/Kneeler/Prayer Cabinet:

Description of item for sale: This large, high quality Gothic revival prie dieu is from France and it dates to the late 1800's to mid-1900's. Note that the display fabric is not original to the piece and it's easy to replace on the wood backing with fabric and an icon of your choice. The prie dieu is made from solid oak that has been finished fairly dark. The classic Gothic woodcarvings and the pair of statues are very nicely done. This prie dieu is in very good antique condition with only minor nicks and scratches consistent with its age and no woodworm or dry rot. As we do with all of our furniture, we finished it with a coat of antique grade paste wax that will maintain its beauty for years to come. Dimensions: 91" tall, 31" wide and 24" deep. (6538)
