1) A Deception Island, South Shetlands, Falkland Islands dependencies Daily Telegraph 1948 Original Press Photograph. Writing on the reverse as follows: - The Most Southerly Factory in The World - Deception Islands, South Shetlands, part of the Falkland Islands dependencies where Argentine and Chilean activities led to a warning by Britain. - The only Whaling factory that is kept open during the winter: the staff of all others return to Norway Size of this photograph: 11\" x 8.5\" (28cm x 21cm).
2) Another original photograph: Whale nicknamed \'Jonas\' in Bergen used on a display tour dated 1952.
3) 14 x Original early postcards (some very rare). 4) 5 x Stamps. 5) 88 x Collectors Cards: Liebig (48 which is 8 sets of 6), Ogdens (26), Nestle (10), Mitchell\'s (1), Wills (1), MacRobertson\'s (1), Brooke Bond (1). 6) 5 x First Day Covers (notice the rare russian ukraine one). 7) Taiyo Fishing Co. empty envelope. 8) 20 x Later vintage postcards. 9) Approx 24 x cuttings and other documents. 10) Approx 50 x Large A4 size copied photo\'s.
- All items are in protective sleeves housed in a Guardian type storage album.
Condition: Good overall, but the large press photo has some edge loss and wear, see images.
