(For some reason, my camera only records it as more red, not the orange you\'ll actually see.)This is a HUGE rock, weighing 7 pounds and 12.0 ounces (3.518 Kg) and measuring 7.25 inches X 5.50 inches X 2.50 inches (18.1 cm x 13.7 cm x 6.2 cm).
A stunningly THICK fluorescent ORANGE sphalerite band runs completely throughthis rock! The band EXCEEDS an inchthick in multiple areas!!! Try findinganother piece like this on (or anywhere, for that matter). A “museum-quality” display piecewhich will make your collection stand out for sure. Sphalerite glows orange in a good longwave UV lamp. This piece also glows orange in midwaveUV. If using fluorescent tubes as yourUV source, midwave may be better than longwave.
