Offered up is an amazing group full of examples of nice very early paleo tools that were found in the Coso Area of the Owens Valley in Ca. A stunning variety of Paleolithic tools and items from an old ranchers family collection, doesn’t get any better than this!! Check out the pictures as they are always the best description. From an old Bishop family collection collected from the 1870's to the 1960's. This is a very large and heavy grab bag, when it ships it will ship just as in picture 10 with the pieces loose in a large gallon size ziploc bag, there is just simply too much to wrap individually. This is an absolute steal for the price, it’s comes with the belief that we all deserve to own and touch a piece of our shared collective human history. It’s good for everyone especially younger generations to be able to touch and feel objects from our past rather than just experience them on a screen and simply put this is a great way for anyone to spend hours and hours studying and going through it as their are many tools and implements of different kinds. Best of all is that they come from a time and age when mankind truly was trying to figure out their place in the food chain and so many of the tools are obviously simple and one unifacial meaning one sided but that’s due to the wealth of obsidian in the coso area pieces could be quickly worked and then discarded when no longer needed and then new pieces made later when need arose so as to not have to constantly carry around an assortment of heavy tools, the beauty of being mineral wealthy in the archaic and prehistoric ages lol.
