Presented today is this Old Style Hopi Kachina doll, depicting the Frog Kachina. It was carved by Aaron Phillips, of Oraibi.This Frog Kachina is an excellent example of his work, and stands 8 inches tall, and is effectively carved in a vintage style. The paint is traditional and muted, soft and harmonious. The linework is truly excellent. It displays beautifully and would look great in any Kachina doll collection. It is meant as a wall hanger, but Aaron decided to add a stand, which i think makes it look even nicer.
