Hivo G. Van Teal is a Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1976  in Cuba. He  escaped Havana to Miami Beach and flourished as an artist with lucite creations.

Hivo G. Van Teal's work has been offered at sale multiple times.

This specific piece is an Acrylic Lucite sculpture, which is  signed by Van Teal on base. With graduated triangle forms, each peaking to a sharp point are mounted on a diamond shape base could pass for an item out of Supermans Fortress of Solitude Collection.

This piece is beautiful when displayed with either direct lighting or just placed on the mantle or entryway table. The photos are taken with daylight only so imagine the range of  spectrum visible under studio lighting.

This piece does show some aging effects that is expected with the age of the piece. There is some crackling which is difficult to photograph. And one small chip on the back side  as shown in the pics 18 and 19.
