For sale is an exceptionally rare and historically important set of New York City FDNY fire house ledgers from engine company number 29.

From a collection we acquired which came out of Westchester county we believe.

Engine Company 29 moved into 160 Chambers street in 1886 so the 1896 ledger has all the going's on during their first year at that location.

Company 29 location: 160 Chambers St, NYC.

Captain: illegible possible Captain Dovanny (see pics)

A wonderful piece of early New York City fire fighting memorabilia!

Condition: The bindings are pretty well gone but both books still have some binding left holding pages just fine. The boards are tattered. But all the ledger sheets are good, clear and legible.

Can easily be restored with new bindings, and they should be to keep these historic books preserved.

We hope they stay in a collection somewhere in New York City, but definitely in New York State
