Mayer China (Beaver Falls, Pa) made these cups as well as various other pieces for the Navy. They also became the China supplier for three airlines including Delta and United. (Also did most railroads and the White Star Line … Titanic) In 1964 Mayer Brothers sold to Shenango Pottery.

These cups seem rather hard to come by. An internet search led to one match stating that slightly different anchors were made to reflect the different officers ranks. According to this site, the cups I am offering are the Ward Room’ officers cups. One cup offered on this site at $95.00. There are quite a few of the anchor design appearing on different types of matching plates available on line.

These three are in pretty good shape. One has some use rough spots on about .75 inch on bottom from use but not so visible when not looking at bottom.

Other than that no cracks, chips or crazing noted.
