Handmade NGWENYA Glass Kingdom of Swaziland Large Elephant Figurine Paperweight. This beautiful hand blown and totally fair trade glass elephant was handmade in the Ngwenya Glass factory in Swaziland. The elephants are available in four different sizes, each with their own unique charm. As each Ngwenya Glass elephant is individually mouth blown there will be some variation in color, height and thickness. The Ngwenya Glass elephants are 100% recycled glass, made from bottles collected by the people of Swaziland. Ngwenya Glass works with the local schools to instil in the children a sense of environmental awareness. In 1989 Ngwenya Glass launched the Kingdom of Swaziland’s most successful wildlife conservation fund, known as the Ngwenya Rhino & Elephant Fund.Pre-Owned. Original sticker is still on figurine but it has faded over the years. There is a tiny nick on the body of the elephant, not easily visible (or easy to photograph) but I can feel it with my finger.
