This is a vintage handmade knitted Christmas stocking made of very thick coarse scratchy wool.

I have no idea where this stocking was made, but the type of wool resembles the type of wool that is used in Nepal. The designs are close to the designs usually knitted in Nepal.

NOTE: There is no hanging string or ribbon on this stocking, so if you want to hang it from a string, you will need to add your own.

Decoration on Stocking:

This stocking has some geometric patterns on it as well as a wave pattern. The colors of yarn used are a maroon color with a purple tint, yellow, orange, lime green, navy blue, black, and off-white (or light gray).

100% Wool.

Measurements:

Height - from top to toe, measured along one side: 17.5\"

Height - from top to heel: 13\"

Width - back of heel to toe: 10\"

Width - at narrowest spot: 5.75\"

Width - at top: 6.25\"

This stocking does not stretch much because of the tight thick weave.

Note: If you are trying to fill this stocking with a specific item, subtract 1 or 1.5 inches from the measurements above and that will tell you what dimensions of the items you should be able to fit into the stocking. Take note of the narrowest part of the stocking.

Condition: This stocking is in great condition. No holes, rips or stains exist on the stocking. It has a bit of a dingy look because of the off-white or light gray colored yarn, but it actually clean. This stocking comes from a smoke free and pet free home.
