This is an absolutely unbelievable huge collection of approximately well-catalogued 800 photos from a WW2 soldier who was apparently in India, China and Burma among other places. The album itself is a huge and heavy 25x20. Nothing special on the cover or I would've shown a photo. The treasure is inside and I wanted to show as much of the contents as possible. Please look at the photos closely. Many of them have details written on back, but I didn't want to remove them and damage them. I may be misreading the spelling on some of them that I've described below. Some of the China photos appear to be souvenir photos. They range from the cremation of a Hindu girl to Hindu pinups, Taj Mahal, bathing in streets and rivers, Calcutta, Shrine to Chitteranjohn, boats rowing across river many people on them, riding to coronation in state carriage, children and adult street beggars, outdoor urinals, Kolkenmarg? Indians, Cathay Mansions, Shanghai, Saipan, Nankan road, Tablet on memorial to Black Hole incident victims, small, poor oats on river with mountains in background, native markings, Nagu Saga Srininar, Maharaja's band and garden Party, Shikara, Lake Don, Temple of Love Puri, Peking Summer Palace, River ceremony, Goddess on route to river, soldiers at work, play, bathing, drinking and in town, tons of landmarks, Kashmir, native man riding camel, Bombay, beaches, cities, Taj Mahal, hotels, soldiers, markets, Jain temple, snake charmers, older native people, kids swimming/bathing, cows and kids pulling cart. An absolutely extraordinary collection.

I've included several paper items inside that appear to connect to a Charles Bergesch who died in Beverly Hills.

There are loose and missing photos and some paper pages in the album. Not all pages are filled.
