This NEW Grandmother \"Pie Bird\" was made for Taunton Country Crafts which is division of the Taunton Cider Company in Somerset, England. It is still in the original package and is unused. This hollow ceramic \"Pie Bird\" measure about 3.50 inches tall and approximately 2 inches wide. There is a hole in the top that allows the pie to \"breathe\" while it\'s cooking collecting moisture from bubbling pie filling and send it up through the hole as hot steam. This prevents the filling from overflowing.
