This Hermle Black Forest clock movement is for a Grandfather clock using a Hermle 461-853 series Westminster Chime only. Besides Hermle clocks, this type movement can be found in high end clocks such as Howard Miller, Ridgeway, Sligh, etc.
I have included a measurement page of specifics from Clockworks website. It is simply a diagram. My clock movement listed here did not come from Clockworks but it is the same Hermle model number represented. Please view the photos of the actual clock movement before offerding or buying.
Made of brass, the movement is the actual Hermle brand and was manufactured in Germany in the late 20th century. Unit is complete.
This clock part is a unit quantity of 1 and is suitable for replacement parts or overhaul.
The model number is 461-853BS and it was manufactured in 1990. It chimes the Westminster Chimes each part every 15 minutes and strikes the number of hours when the minute hand reaches 12 o’clock.
The clock was tested running for months and kept good time for months before I removed it. It also has an autocorrect and Silent setting. It requires a 94cm pendulum and appropriate weights to operate properly.
Only the mechanical movement, leader, old cables, and pulleys are included in this listing. The cables are used, tangled and should be unwound and rewound or replaced before operation.

BONUS: This Movement also has the arbor for the seconds bit hand. Historically not all came with this feature. It also has a high end A-Frame post to support the pendulum assembly.
The clock movement is used and could use professional servicing so for that reason and its age, (built in 1990 - see Hermle Date code “C” for 1990) it is being sold as is, no warranty.
