I don't know much about this item. I purchased it from a very nice estate sale. It is very heavy for its size. There are signs of use / age - scratches, dirt inside, etc... please see pics.

I am unsure what this item is used for. From doing some research, I believe it to be a marine lens, but I am not positive. I've been unable to find another like it.
