This hand painted wooden shield features a fantastic Dragon design painted over an airbrushed white and yellow background. Stainless steel studs line the border, and dual leather straps are used to secure the arm along the back one going over the forearm and one intended to be gripped or held. The shield is made out of a .5 inch thick smooth composite wood which is considerably stronger than plywood. The front of the shield has also been applied with several coats of topcoat varnish to protect it from wear. This Gothic Dragon Shield measures a large 40 inches in height! Whether for the wall or the battlefield, this shield is well balanced and ready to serve. This shield would be perfect for upcoming Renaissance Festivals, LARP events or medieval reenactments. Would also make a great gift for that Renaissance enthusiast for someone you know.
