Here is a superb, beautiful crystal of genuine Cactus Quartz, from theMagaliesberg Mountains of South Africa, the only place these have been found. Awesome amethyst crystals! Also referred to as Spirit Quartz.
In superb condition, the cluster measures 8 inches from tip to tip, and weighs 2 lbs. 13.1 oz. When we first saw this, it fairly took our breath away for a few seconds. Specimens like this are becoming a thing of the past. The deep, rich colors on this range from deep purple on the tips, to lighter purple, to an orange hue near the bottom. And of course, there are the beautiful smaller secondary druzy amethyst crystals on the primary crystals, all combining for a pleasure to behold.
This item should last a very long time it it is treated gently and displayed without rough handling.
